Fundraising
The production team has organized an aggressive fundraising campaign to produce Escape from the Fire. The majority of the funding will rely heavily on the donations from individuals. As students, we will be asking for discounts from vendors as a means of promoting and encouraging the next generation of filmmakers when renting camera and grip equipment and purchasing craft services for their talent and crew.

A website has been developed as an online prospectus which offers potential investors additional information regarding the film.

With the film involving significant Holocaust and humanitarian issues, organizations supporting Jewish causes and human rights will be pursued as a part of our fundraising campaign. For example, we plan on submitting the prospectus to the following organizations: Samuel Bronfman Foundation, Jack and Pearl Resnick Foundation, Severin Wunderman Family Foundation, and the National Endowment of the Arts, among others.

Distribution
Once the final edited version is locked for Escape from the Fire, we will seek distribution from a number of multimedia outlets. Television and DVD release will be pursued as the initial modes of distribution for the film. Television outlets have the potential to reach millions of viewers across the country. These outlets include HBO, CineMax, and the Sundance Channel.

Film festivals offer a unique forum for acquiring honors and accolades as a means of supporting and promoting the film. Major international film festivals are to include: Cannes, Sundance, the Student Academy Awards, Toronto, Venice, Tribeca, Berlin, and the New Jersey and New York Jewish Film Festivals.

Promotions for Escape from the Fire will include regional media coverage in the greater Tri-State and Boston Areas. This will entail newspapers along with television and radio coverage. An aggresive online campaign featuring MySpace.com and FaceBook.com in conjunction with the Theory Films website will be pursued.
